The French Ambassador to Gabon visits Ndossi Village: a showcase for sustainable development and intercultural mediation

On June 25, 2025, Ndossi Village, nestled at the entrance to Akanda National Park, had the honor of welcoming Mr. Fabrice Mauriès , French Ambassador to Gabon, accompanied by director David Mboussou. This official visit highlighted the prototyping of an eco-tourism and cultural project led by the NGO Gabon Terre d'Avenir (GTA).


Ndossi Village is designed as a laboratory for social innovation at the intersection of social entrepreneurship and community development, in the areas of well-being, catering, tourism, and cultural promotion. Designed as a space for intergenerational transmission and the promotion of Gabonese heritage, the village stands out for its environmental commitment and community dynamics.


On the program for this visit: presentation of the sawmill's artisanal installations, discovery of the iboga plantations - Gabon's emblematic sacred plant - and pineapples, demonstration of the plastic recycling system initiated in Mondah Bay, as well as traditional dance performances led by the young people of the village.
